Detroiters Resisting Home Displacement
United Community Housing Coalition and Michigan Legal Services 2015 | Interactive storytelling project
Creative Producer + Director + D.P. + Editor
In early 2015, Detroit saw a drastic increase in tax foreclosures for long-term Detroiters. United Community Housing and Michigan Legal Services coalition launched a massive effort to educate homeowners on how to get out of tax foreclosure, and an equally robust campaign to educate policy makers on how to reverse this trend of displacement. The organizations commissioned me to produce video portraits of individuals who were fighting to save their homes, and design an effective context for viewing and disseminating these stories.
